Workplace Wellbeing Diet

Did you know that spirituality involves regulating your diet?

A clean, energy inducing diet is going to massively boost your wellbeing in the workplace and your productivity.

According to the Indian philosophy, there are 3 states of being, with food corresponding to each.

šŸ”·ļø Sattvic - calm & peaceful

šŸ”¶ļø Rajasic - energetic

šŸ”·ļø Tamasic - dark & gloomy

The sattvic diet, also known as the yoga diet, is the one I encourage. šŸ™Œ

It is a lacto-vegetarian diet which excludes eggs. It includes some of the foods below;

- Sprouted whole grains.

- Whole grains.

- Fresh fruit.

- Land and sea vegetables.

- Pure fruit juices.

- Nuts & seeds

- Cheese & dairy products

- Legumes.

These foods leave you feeling light, refreshed & calm.

As opposed to Tamasic foods which leave you feeling dark, lethargic & depressed.

It's best to avoid the foods below if you want a productive afternoon.

- Highly refined white sugar foods

- Fried foods

- Microwaved food

- Meat, especially red meat

Rajasic food is good for high intensity activities. So if you are playing sport feel free to eat any of the below;

- Chillies

- Spicy food

- Peppers

- Garlic

- Onions

Remember, employee wellbeing requires a change to every part of your work life.
