Recently I have been overeating
When my body is out of sync it effects my whole being
This overeating effects my meditation practice & it becomes more difficult
Food has been an issue my whole life
When I was younger, I definitely used to comfort eat
As I got older I replaced it with other things, like alcohol
It was always to fill that energetic void
When I discovered meditation, all of that changed, it gave me that THING I was missing
Overeating not only adds physical weight, but mental & spiritual weight too
Spiritual doctrine describes 3 states of being
1. 'Tamasic', which is a dark, heavy & gloomy state of being
2. 'Rajasic', which is a hyper & energetic state of being
3. 'Satvic', which is a light & peaceful state of being
When we overeat we begin to carry that dark, heavy & lethargic energy
Nobody wants that!
HOWEVER
It has become all too common, especially in the workplace
Add to that the other pressures of work
And you create the perfect storm for dark & lethargic energy permeating your workplace
